Find the photo you know
you have.
Past a few thousand photos, scrolling stops working and the search box stops being enough. Lokka lets you describe what you are looking for, in your own words, and it looks through your library on the phone itself.
Three searches

“I'm looking for videos with lyrics”
Lokka reads the text inside your photos and videos, so screen recordings of songs come back as one set.

“I'm looking for memes”
Ask for a kind of thing instead of a date or an album, then narrow it: photos only, videos only.

“I'm looking for deadlift videos”
Search by what is happening in the frame. No tags, no folders, nothing to set up first.
Why it exists
I kept looking for a picture I knew was somewhere in my gallery, without remembering when I saved it or where it went. With nearly 8,000 photos and videos, scrolling is not a real option, and the built-in search was not getting me there either. It kept bugging me, because I ended up in the same situation over and over.
At some point I needed pictures with a specific person in them, photos with my mom's face, so I wanted an app that could learn a face and search by it. I put both ideas into one app and built it.
Chat search works well today. Face search is not yet where I want it, and I am still working on it.
